Designing for the Room, Fairmont Château Laurier In-room Dining

TITLE
In-room Dining Menu Design

CLIENT
Fairmont Château Laurier

INDUSTRY
Hospitality

ENGAGEMENT TYPE
Freelance Contract

GOAL
Design a six-page bilingual in-room dining menu that felt at home in one of Canada's most storied hotels, and that the team could actually maintain after handoff.

OVERVIEW
In-room dining menus are easy to underestimate. For a hotel like the Fairmont Château Laurier, the layout needed to work in both English and French, surface the right items, and hold its own against an established visual identity.

RESPONSIBILITIES
I designed the full six-page layout with a centre-aligned bilingual structure, clear hierarchy, and intentional placement of best-sellers. The typography was built for flexibility so the hotel team could update the menu without breaking the design each time.
