To position YFC as the region’s most convenient and stress-free gateway to winter sun destinations by promoting its expanded 2026 direct routes and driving awareness and travel intent among Atlantic Canadian.
OVERVIEW
The 2026 "Sun Destination" Campaign was designed to promote the Fredericton International Airport’s (YFC) most ambitious winter schedule to date, featuring new direct routes to Mexico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. The goal was to position YFC as the most convenient starting point for winter escapes, emphasizing "Direct to Paradise" while bypassing the stress of major hubs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Spearheaded the visual strategy for YFC’s winter campaign, promoting direct routes via Air Transat and Sunwing. I unified three corporate identities into a cohesive omnichannel suite, including Meta, Google Ads, and Gym TV motion graphics. By contrasting the New Brunswick winter with vibrant tropical imagery, I transformed a logistical update into an aspirational brand story, reinforcing YFC as the region’s premier gateway to the sun.

As the anchor carrier for YFC’s 2026 winter schedule, Sunwing provided the highest volume of direct connectivity to Cancun, Punta Cana, Cayo Coco, and Cayo Santa Maria.
GOOGLE DEMAND GEN VIDEO
This 15-second Sunwing ad promotes direct flights from Fredericton to Cancun, Cayo Santa Maria, Cayo Coco, and Punta Cana across Google and YouTube. It pairs fast-paced visuals of snorkeling, Mayan ruins, and beach parasailing with text overlays to highlight local departure convenience and drive bookings. For versatile digital placement, the video is optimized in 16:9, 1:1, and 9:16 aspect ratios.

The Sunwing Meta Carousel is a social media asset with six cards promoting direct flights from Fredericton (YFC) to multiple tropical destinations. It visually showcases diverse vacation experiences across Cancun, Cayo Santa Maria, Cayo Coco, and Punta Cana. The sequence highlights activities like scuba diving, sailing, and exploring ruins to appeal to various traveler interests while emphasizing the convenience of local departures with Sunwing.
For the 2026 winter season, Air Transat returned to YFC with a highly anticipated direct service to Cancun, Mexico. This exciting new route launched on February 18, 2026, offering New Brunswick travelers a convenient escape to the Cancun, Mexico. This addition provides premium, non-stop leisure travel, perfectly aligning with the campaign's core marketing focus.
