OVERVIEW
In collaboration with the COO of Chinova Bioworks, I led the brand architecture and digital rollout for ChitoCare®, a high-purity, mushroom-based chitosan. The goal was to disrupt the cosmetic ingredient market at NYSCC Supplier’s Day by positioning a complex biotech innovation as an accessible, "clean beauty" essential.
”Farm to Formula” I developed a visual narrative centered on "Pure Performance" and "Sustainable Upcycling." By utilizing a clean, clinical-meets-organic aesthetic, I translated technical data—such as molecular weight and deacetylation levels—into a digestible, high-end digital experience. The branding highlights the product's origin (white button mushrooms) and its journey from GAP-certified farms to precision Canadian extraction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the lead creative for the ChitoCare® debut, I was responsible for translating complex biotechnological data into a premium, consumer-ready visual identity. I managed the end-to-end design lifecycle within a condensed eight-week timeline to meet the NYSCC Supplier’s Day 2025 launch deadline.

CBIOWORKS WEBSITE DESIGN
Built on Squarespace, this microsite leverages core elements from the Chinova Bioworks brand while establishing its own distinct identity. The homepage utilizes a progressive disclosure layout, guiding users from high-level concepts to technical product details as they scroll. This clean, minimalist aesthetic was intentionally chosen to build immediate trust with new visitors. Furthermore, strategically distancing the ChitoCare brand from Chinova was a pivotal move to protect the product from market-specific tariff risks during its launch phase.
DESIGN OF THE SAMPLE CARD THAT HOLDS THE SAMPLE SACHETS
Designed with high-GSM paper for a premium tactile feel, featuring a writable reverse side to allow R&D teams to record immediate testing notes during consultations.
PACKAGE DESIGN FOR SAMPLE SACHET
Each sachet is stapled to a thick GSM sample card, making it easy to handle and distribute. The overall format is designed to be informative and functional, whether passed out at a meeting or used in a more formal product introduction.
CBIOWORKS EXHIBITION BOOTH BACKDROP BANNER
This 8x8 ft. backdrop banner was strategically designed to serve as the visual centrepiece of the booth, capturing attention from a distance and communicating core product value propositions even to passersby. The layout and content were thoughtfully aligned with the booth’s overall furniture and traffic flow to maximize visibility, ensuring that ChitoCare®'s key benefits—purity, performance, and sustainability—were conveyed through compelling graphics and concise messaging.
